2019 SUMMER HGSE SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

This year we have at 17 educators that have received Summer GSE Program Scholarships. These include a team of 4 from Castle Hill Elementary, New Castle; a team of 4 from Glasgow High School, Newark; and a team of 3 from Fred Fifer III Middle School, Camden.  All these groups will participate in the Data Wise Leadership Institute.  Data Wise provides a clear, field tested blueprint that teachers and school leaders can use to examine test scores and other data to drive instructional improvement.

By contributing to the profession education of educators in Delaware, the Harvard Club of Delaware hopes to create tangible results within our State.  The Club has actively promoted a unique program among Harvard Clubs nationally, offering scholarships to educators and administers to attend summer professional education programs at the Harvard School of Education.  To date, more than 500 teachers, principals and other school leaders have taken advantage of the scholarship program.  Scholarships are available to Delaware educators and administrators currently working at public, private or parochial K–12 schools, who reasonably expect that they will be working in Delaware for the following school year and who are willing to share course information and experiences with others in their school or district.

A complete list of scholarship recipeints is below.  In addtion, the Club has also decided to extend a supplmental application period for additional scholarships to be awarded for this summer.
